Detroit, MI – March 23, 2018 – Today, Detroit Tigers’ mascot, PAWS, teamed up with COILZ, a specialized condenser coil cleaning service, to take on the massive dirty job of cleaning and inspecting Comerica Park’s HVAC system condenser coils. This down-and-dirty task will ensure the ballpark is operating at peak efficiency for the Tigers’ upcoming 2018 season.
There are numerous preparations the Detroit Tigers need to complete for the stadium to be ready for Opening Day. Although unexpected, regular maintenance and cleaning of Comerica Park’s condenser coils is an important step to save energy, reduce maintenance costs and ensure the effectiveness of the entire HVAC system. Having a cleaned HVAC system is important as it improves air quality and reduces allergens throughout the facility.
“It was an honor to help the Tigers prepare Comerica Park for Opening Day,” said David Ford, President of DUCTZ International. “With this condenser coil inspection and cleaning, we’re excited to help the stadium reach peak efficiency and save energy and maintenance costs all year long. And if PAWS is ever hoping to make a career change, he’d clearly make an excellent DUCTZ technician!”
