Portable Devices Enhance Fan Experiences While Charging Phones

New York, NY (September 5, 2018) - Crossfield Digital, a premier developer of mobile apps and websites, announced it is working with the USTA for the third consecutive year to enhance fan experiences at the US Open tournament. Through a partnership with Chase Bank, a sponsor of the US Open, Crossfield developed the app technology behind the Chase Charge and Watch, a hardware device developed by FanVision Entertainment that connects to mobile phones.  These devices will be distributed to attendees at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York City between August 27 and September 9.

The Chase Charge and Watch is a small, portable device that charges a phone’s battery while simultaneously giving the user the ability to watch live video content from all the main courts at the US Open. The live video content doesn’t use any of the phone’s data thanks to the underlying FanVision technology.

“As with all of our clients, our goal with the Chase Charge and Watch is to strengthen the relationship between the United States Tennis Association and its dedicated fans by elevating the experience of every attendee of the US Open,” said Riccardo Pellegrini, CEO, Crossfield Digital. “The USTA and Chase are fantastic partners, and we are all deeply committed to creating innovative technologies that provide unmatched, immersive fan experiences.”

Crossfield’s work with the 2018 US Open comes directly on the heels of providing similar, revolutionary software-hardware integrations for NASCAR, The PGA Tour, The Presidents Cup and Formula 1.
