Hilton Head Island, SC — Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) will host its premier coach education event — the PTR International Tennis Symposium — February 12-15, on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
More than 40 industry experts, including Leo Alonso, Mike Barrell, Emma Doyle, Gigi Fernandez, Frank Giampaolo, Ann Grossman, Dr. Ben Kibler, Dr. Mark Kovacs, Dr. Jim Loehr, Judy Murray, Craig O’Shannessy, Emilio Sanchez and Sarah Stone, will conduct on court and classroom presentations. Topics range from tennis business and sport science to teaching tactics and techniques. The PTR Family atmosphere abounds, as our speakers are approachable and happy to chat, so attendees can feel free to ask questions and mingle.
Professional development specialized education courses will also be conducted, and coaches get the opportunity to be the players at the PTR-UTR Championships.
In addition to competition and unparalleled education, the Symposium offers abundant networking opportunities. The Tennis Trade Show has a day of demo courts, where attendees can try before they buy the latest equipment and on court technologies. While they’re at it, they can check out the apparel and shoes at the on site adidas store. Everyone always enjoys the social aspects of the Parade of Nations Flag Ceremony, Hall of Fame induction and Awards Banquet, and the fun at the HEAD/Penn Casino Dinner and Dance Party, not to mention tennis and — now pickleball — in the hotel lobby!
The Symposium has a stellar reputation as a top coach education destination, attracting participants from around the world, and this year will be followed by two days of pickelball coach education at the PPR Conference — February 15-16. And all just steps from the award winning beach that was named Conde Nast Traveler’s Best Island in the US two years in a row!
