ST. LOUIS, MO – Kingpin Lanes & Brickhouse Pizza Company, located in Bridgeton, MO, prepares to open its seasonal, air-supported sand volleyball dome. This is the first air-supported structure to open in St. Louis in 20 years. Kingpin has been working with Arizon Building Systems, an air-supported dome manufacturer located in Maryland Heights, MO, on the production and installation of the new dome. The dome will be placed over the sand volleyball courts at Kingpin during the winter, which will enable patrons to play sand volleyball year-round.

ST. LOUIS, MO – Kingpin Lanes & Brickhouse Pizza Company, located in Bridgeton, MO, prepares to open its seasonal, air-supported sand volleyball dome. This is the first air-supported structure to open in St. Louis in 20 years. Kingpin has been working with Arizon Building Systems, an air-supported dome manufacturer located in Maryland Heights, MO, on the production and installation of the new dome. The dome will be placed over the sand volleyball courts at Kingpin during the winter, which will enable patrons to play sand volleyball year-round.
“There was immediate excitement when we announced we were getting the dome,” says Gary Shenberg, owner of Kingpin. “We currently have 40 teams signed up waiting to play, and even had to add a fourth day to our league schedule. During our summer season we’ve been sold out the past 6 years with 36 teams over 3 evenings, so it’s nice that we have more teams signed up and were able to add the extra day”, continues Shenberg. “I’ve been contacted by numerous people regarding parties, tournaments and training for college athletes, as well.”
Kingpin’s new sand volleyball dome is set to open this week, with leagues happening Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Additionally, the dome can be rented out for parties, corporate events, and fundraisers. Kingpin will also be hosting their first Glow in the Dark Tournament at the end of January, which is already sold out. “It’s not the first dome ever, but it’s the first sand volleyball dome in St. Louis, and it’s really about the community and giving people something good,” says Shenberg.
