A trailblazer in the esports industry, Harrisburg University’s esports varsity team is the university’s only varsity sports and are recent recipients of the Tempest Award for Best Collegiate Esports Program. In the spring 2020 semester, the university also introduced an Esports Bachelor of Science degree program that will prepare students for in-demand careers in esports and teach the skills needed to manage and create media content, oversee events and teams, analyze competitive esports and more.
