HOUSTON, TEXAS – MARCH 2020: C.E. King High School serves 2,000 students in northeast Harris County in the suburbs of Houston, Texas. High school football is big everywhere, but it is especially big in the Sheldon Lake area of unincorporated Houston, where alumni, neighbors, parents, and students make C.E. King Panther home games a much-anticipated and happily-frenzied community event. As part of a multi-site construction effort, the Sheldon ISD built a new 10,000-seat stadium with state-of-the-art technology and infrastructure to support the Panthers home games and a variety of other events. AVL integration firm Broadcast Works, of Bullard, Texas, installed the new stadium’s two massive Danley Jericho Horns, four Danley TH118 subwoofers, and three Danley DNA 20k4 Pro multi-channel amplifiers. With point-source clarity, the Danley system delivers effortless intelligibility, honest and abundant bass, and musical impact commensurate with the fever pitch of the Panther fans.

Huckabee and Associates, of The Woodlands, Texas, designed the audio and video systems for Sheldon ISD Stadium, and Broadcast Works won the bid to install it. “The stadium is huge, 10,000 seats, which is noteworthy in itself,” said Joe Yeargain, the Houston-area manager for Broadcast Works. “The overall design is clean. There are no excessive architectural elements but plenty of thoughtful functional aspects that will make the stadium popular with fans. In addition to the Panther home games, Sheldon ISD Stadium will support regional playoff games and other events that require big seating capacities, like graduation ceremonies.”
