WOODWAY Awarded Two Patents Expanding Protection for Curved, Non-Motorized Treadmills

WAUKESHA, WI, March 9, 2020 – On Tuesday, February 18, 2020, WOODWAY USA, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of treadmills and other health, fitness, and rehabilitation equipment, was granted two patents – U.S. Patent No. 10561883 and 10561884. 

In 2009 WOODWAY USA, Inc. filed a patent application disclosing a wide range of concepts and innovations relating to curved, manual treadmills, and since this time, we have been granted several patents directed to the many different innovations disclosed in the original filing. The two patents granted on Tuesday, February 18 harvest new and different concepts disclosed in the original 2009 filing. 

The ‘883 patent is directed to expanded protection for the structure of the important one-way bearing safety device. 

The ‘884 patent is directed to the concept of applying a braking force to a curved, manual treadmill for resistance-based workout.
