Georgia-Pacific Named Official National Partner in First-of-Its Kind Industry Collaboration to Strengthen Consumer Confidence When Crowds Return for Concerts, Shows, Conventions and Sporting Events

PHILADELPHIA (June 16, 2020)— Spectra, an industry leader in venue management, hospitality and partnerships, today announced a first-of-its-kind industry partnership with GP PRO, a division of Georgia-Pacific and a leading provider of advanced dispensing solutions for commercial facilities, to supply live entertainment venues with smart monitoring technology and key products as facilities begin to safely reopen across the nation.

The partnership promises availability of high-demand products like hand sanitizer; optimal pricing across markets; and access to technology that assists operational staff across 190 Spectra-managed venues proactively replenish hygiene supplies throughout an event.

“With most states currently in some phase of reopening, comprehensive venue preparedness is our top priority, and Spectra’s strategic partnership with GP PRO empowers our field teams to achieve a higher level of hygiene, cleaning and sanitization,” Bryan Furey, Spectra’s senior vice president of partnerships, said. “Our mutual goal is to restore employee and consumer confidence as more than 25 million guests gradually return to Spectra-run arenas, stadiums, convention centers, and other venues. We anticipate this partnership will be a true value-add to our clients as we reopen our doors for the first time in months to usher in a new normal.”

Spectra recently incorporated GP PRO’s integrated solutions into its comprehensive “Together AGAIN!” reopening plan, which was provided to every Spectra client to guide individual reopening strategies.

“Through our partnership with Spectra, GP PRO is fortunate to have the opportunity to support venues that are often the lifeblood of a local economy,” said Alex Volpe, general sales manager, High Traffic with GP PRO. “Our proprietary technology and guidance will help the experts in venue management exceed the new expectations for breadth and depth of cleaning and hygiene. We want to be a partner in ensuring employees and fans trust their favorite venues have addressed the proper containment and mitigation strategies moving forward.”

General managers will be able to take advantage of GP PRO’s recently launched Hygiene Ready toolkit, which offers industry-specific, actionable hygiene checklists that address basic hygiene improvement measures, safe workplace practices, and engineered workplace controls. Operations teams will also have access to the KOLO™ Smart Monitoring System, which uses a cloud-based mobile and web application to provide timely and customized communication between connected restroom fixtures and facility managers.

“When venues reopen, having the newest technology and the best products will help our operations teams maintain the highest level of cleanliness,” Mike Ahearn, Spectra’s senior vice president of operations, said. “As our venues adopt the KOLO system, it will be like having an extra team member who is checking to see that bathroom supplies are always filled, so that we’re avoiding outages and reducing waste. This will allow employees to attend to a new suite of tasks resulting from the pandemic. The technology will help our venue teams be smarter and more efficient.”
