The educational partnership between the Association of Aquatic Professionals (“AOAP”) and the Starfish Center for Aquatic Safety Research, Education and Leadership (the “Center”), has gone live.
Announced last year, the Center, a non-profit corporation which among other activities provides an educational platform to the international aquatic community through Splash-EDU, and AOAP, a non-profit corporation bringing together professionals from all aspects of aquatics to network, educate, advocate, enrich and improve the aquatics industry, have realized their goal as the Center now offers AOAP’s Aquatic Professional designation (“AqP”) to the industry through its platform.
Interested individuals may access the registration form at AqP Registration.
AOAP representatives will continue to oversee the development and expansion of the designation, which recognizes individuals who have achieved excellence through a combination of education, experience and certifications. The AqP designation has quickly become not only a desirable but in some cases required designation for employment.
“We are excited to expand the AqP program and provide a user-friendly platform for professionals wanting to add the prestigious designation to their resume,” said Juliene Hefter, Executive Director of AOAP.
Through Splash-EDU, the Center will publish and provide books and ancillaries, online courses, video, virtual courses and workshops, in-person training and workshops, certification programs, membership subscriptions and provide e-commerce opportunities for AOAP members.
