Born and raised on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, Ort learned the importance of hard work at an early age.   In the 1950’s, Ort started his career in wood by hauling logs and lumber.  After buying his first portable sawmill, lumber was in his blood.  He went on to buy Wittenburg Hardwood, Polar Hardwoods, Aacer Flooring and Tigerton Lumber.

Over the years and to this day, his children have been involved with the growth and success of the family businesses

Gerald Ort Jr., (Jerry) will continue to move Aacer Flooring and the other Ort family businesses forward.  Under his leadership, he will keep his father’s legacy alive by meeting and exceeding customer and industry requests.
