Everyone from children learning to swim and water park thrill seekers to aquatics facility owners and pool operators reaps the benefits of Aquify’s innovative stainless steel regenerative media filter

KELOWNA, British Columbia, December 9, 2020 -- Owners, contractors, and designers of recreational aquatics facilities will be able to save water, energy, and space while providing a pristine aquatic experience for their customers and communities, thanks to Aquify Systems’ new stainless steel regenerative media filter.

The unique Aquify Stainless Steel Regenerative Media Filter was born out of a desire not only to find a way to move water more efficiently, but to reimagine the aquatics mechanical room with the operator in mind, creating a safer, quieter, cleaner, and easier-to-maintain space.

“Coming from a background in water play solutions, I’ve seen firsthand how the mechanical room — the heart of the aquatics operation — historically has been neglected from a design standpoint,” said Ryan McDowell, President at Aquify Systems. “We’re giving the mechanical room the focus it deserves, designing our filters to optimize operational efficiency, sustainability, and the user experience and setting a new industry standard for regenerative media filters.”

“Aquify’s stainless steel regenerative media filters have the smallest tank size and footprint in the industry with the largest possible square footage of filtration. Our unique space-saving flangeless lid design means operators don’t have to remove the lid to clean or inspect the filter; instead, three large manways enable safe, quick access to internal components, ” explained Patrick Ruzicka, Director of Engineering at Aquify Systems.

The Aquify filters have a four-position influent tee and three interchangeable mount locations to accommodate even the most congested mechanical room, affording optimal ergonomic and accessible configuration. In addition, an industry-first tube sheet design enables operators to customize filtration square footage after the filter has been installed.

Aquify filters are NSF 50 and ASME pressure vessel-certified for health, safety, and performance, with flow rates ranging from 50-2400 gpm. The standard-setting filters benefit everyone, from facility owners to kids playing in the leisure pool. Gary Lefebvre, Aquatics Manager at the Vernon Aquatic Centre, noted, “Our ultimate goal is to provide the cleanest, safest experience for our users. Since the installation of Aquify’s regenerative media filter, our water clarity has improved significantly.“
