AOP Pool System Donation Provides a Healthier Swimming Experience to the Williams YMCA of Avery County’s Community
Linville, North Carolina – April 13, 2021 – The Clear Comfort Cares Program recognized the Williams YMCA of Avery County for the significant contributions its aquatic facility provides the community. With Clear Comfort’s donation of their AOP (Advanced Oxidation) system, the YMCA of Avery County can deliver the best, healthiest and freshest swimming environment for its inclusive aquatic programs that promote safety, fitness and overall well-being.
“The Clear Comfort Cares Program donation will help our facility, but more importantly, the community we serve who rely on us,” said Hannah Taber of the Williams YMCA of Avery County. “We are very honored to be the selected recipient. Giving our members a fresh, clean, healthy swimming environment will allow us to spend more time on our programs and activities and less time on the water.”
The Williams YMCA of Avery County is a treasure to its community and offers SPLASH Drowning Prevention Programs, children and adult swimming lessons, low-impact exercise activities, and more. Additionally, the facility is home to the Avery County Special Olympics swim team as well as the Avery High School’s swim team.
To honor the Williams YMCA of Avery County’s efforts to provide its community with opportunities to enjoy, relax and learn, Clear Comfort is giving back at the community-level with an AOP supplemental sanitation pool system donation.
Duffield Aquatics, Inc., a commercial pool service provider that has served its communities for over 48 years, has generously agreed to donate its services to install the Clear Comfort AOP system at the Williams YMCA of Avery County.
“To accompany the Clear Comfort Cares donation, we were more than happy to offer our installation services,” said Alison Youngblood, Vice President at Duffield Aquatics, Inc. “We understand the positive impacts that Clear Comfort’s AOP provides aquatic facilities and look forward to seeing the Williams YMCA of Avery County benefit from them.”
With Clear Comfort’s award-winning AOP, the winning aquatic facility or organization of the Clear Comfort Cares Program can provide swimmers and staff with the best, freshest and healthiest water and air quality with up to 90 percent reduction of harmful disinfection by-products. In addition, Clear Comfort’s AOP is third-party proven to safely reduce toxic chemical use and eliminate dangerous, chlorine-resistant microorganisms, such as Cryptosporidium.
“Giving communities a safe place to exercise, train and relax is more important than ever,” said Steve Berens, CEO at Clear Comfort. “We are proud to be able to recognize the Williams YMCA of Avery County and help them provide the best swimming environment for its community. The facility’s programs have made a significant and important impact by giving all levels of swimmers an opportunity to enjoy the facility.”
