Two Myrtha pools will be the home to the XXIII European Short Course Swimming Championships in 2017.

The pools – a competition pool 25x25m and a warm-up pool 25x15m – have been temporarily installed at the site of 5 thrilling days of competitions between the most prominent European swimmers.

The pools are installed at the Copenhagen Royal Arena: a modern sports venue which opened in February 2017. The building was designed to host various sporting events: hockey, tennis and now - thanks to Myrtha - swimming competitions.

The Myrtha Team – consisting of 23 technicians and 1 site manager - completed the installation of the two pools in a record time of just a few days from November 30th until December 10th.

Speed of installation is a valuable advantage and is available due to Myrtha Technology: thanks to its modular structure, Myrtha is able to complete poolsinstallation within tight schedules.

Additionally, the technology allows for installation in an indoor location with space constraints, with no need to permanently anchor the structure to the floor. For this reason the dismantling phase following the event is quick and efficient!

In fact, between December 18th and 22nd the Myrtha team will begin dismantling the pools leaving the Royal Arena with only the memories of this amazing event!
