Orlando FL/Chattanooga, TN – The United States Tennis Association (USTA) is excited to announce a partnership with PlayCore, an industry-leading play and recreation company, with the aim of positively impacting local communities through innovative tennis hubs.
As part of the partnership, the two organizations will work together to explore ways to introduce and share the excitement of tennis with young children on the playground, while also collaborating on new and innovative ways to collaborate with communities and to bring tennis hubs across the country. Additionally, both organizations have committed to using their respective research and assessment tools to identify areas that could benefit from increased recreation opportunities with a goal of creating healthier, more active communities.
“Delivering tennis through Parks and Recreation is one of the most important factors in the growth of tennis in this country,” said Craig Morris, chief executive, Community Tennis, USTA. “Partnering with a company like PlayCore will allow us to bring the sport for a lifetime to communities across the country in an entirely new way.”
Lisa Moore, senior vice president of Corporate Strategic Services for PlayCore added, “We share a common mission and passion with USTA for both healthy communities and the power of parks and recreation, so we’re looking forward to aligning our research and leveraging our resources in new and exciting ways.”
