COVINGTON, LA – Charlie Luecker, Director of Commercial for POOLCORP and Lincoln Aquatics, was recently awarded the Al Turner Memorial Commitment to Excellence Award by the World Waterpark Association (WWA) on October 5, 2022, during the Opening Session of the WWA Show in Las Vegas, NV.
Charlie has been a key contributor to the Commercial Aquatics industry since 1984 – a career spanning more than 38 years! The Luecker family has long been involved with Commercial Swimming Pools. Charlie’s father, Bill Luecker founded the company in 1954 and his sister, Kathie Luecker helped build the company’s national footprint, developing many relationships with pool operators across the country.
The awards presented by the WWA recognize excellence in leadership, safety, innovation, and training, and honor people working at various levels within the water leisure industry. The Commitment to Excellence Award was named for Al Turner, the founder, president, and chief executive officer of the World Waterpark Association until his death in 2001 when he was awarded the honor posthumously.
