Caddix Announces National Retail Expansion With DICK'S Sporting Goods and SCHEELS Amid Growing Athlete Demand

Caddix, the cleat company advancing injury-reducing footwear with its SmartStuds™ technology, today announced a significant expansion of its retail footprint through new placements with SCHEELS and DICK'S Sporting Goods. The rollout will bring Caddix products to 17 retail locations across the two sporting goods retailers.

The expansion marks a major milestone for Caddix as the company transitions from a primarily direct-to-consumer and professional-athlete-driven brand into mainstream retail channels. Launching in July, ahead of fall training camps and competition seasons for football, soccer, and lacrosse, the rollout comes as athletes and families make key equipment decisions. The announcement also follows a period of rapid growth for the company, including new partnerships, professional athlete investments, and upcoming international distribution launches.

“Securing shelf space with retailers like this represents a major milestone in Caddix's growth trajectory," said Jack Rasmussen, Founder and CEO of Caddix. "Players have primarily discovered our cleats through word of mouth or professional adoption. Moving into national retail proves that there’s a turning point in what people want and expect from footwear products. Prioritizing both performance and player longevity, coupled with the organic growth we’ve seen season over season, is the reason for this retail push."

The retail expansion also follows Caddix's recent multi-year partnership with USA Lacrosse, which named the company an official footwear provider for the organization's U.S. National Teams and Youth National Team Development Program. As lacrosse prepares for its return to the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028, the partnership further positions Caddix among some of the sport's highest-profile athletes and programs.

The retail rollout has also been welcomed by members of Caddix's investor group. “Athletes and coaches are becoming much more informed about injury reduction than they were even a few years ago," said Joe Flacco, Caddix investor and quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals. "Retailers recognize that demand, and I think that's one of the reasons you're seeing companies like Caddix gain traction.

"We've seen tremendous interest from players looking for equipment designed specifically around how they move on the field," said Kayla Sharples, Caddix investor and defender for the Kansas City Current. "They’re becoming more intentional about the products they trust, and seeing Caddix expand into brick-and-mortar reflects how much that conversation has evolved."

10 DICK'S Sporting Goods locations will begin carrying Caddix’s women’s, men’s, and youth cleats later this year, joining 7 SCHEELS stores with additional retail expansion planned throughout the year.

Caddix is built around its SmartStuds™ technology, engineered to help reduce the rotational torque associated with knee and ankle injuries. Developed through collaboration with biomechanical researchers, the technology was designed to address longstanding challenges in cleat performance without compromising traction or playability. Caddix cleats are worn by professional and collegiate athletes across football, soccer, and lacrosse. Through expanded retail availability, more athletes will have direct access to footwear designed with both performance and injury reduction in mind.

About Caddix: Caddix is a footwear company built on patented SmartStuds™ technology, designed from the ground up to reduce the rotational torque responsible for knee and ankle injuries. Headquartered in Baltimore, MD and founded in 2023, Caddix cleats are worn by professional athletes across the NFL, NWSL, PLL, WLL, and NCAA.
