Oshkosh, Wis.— Sports Laundry Systems® (Sports Laundry Systems) recently added an 80-pound capacity soft-mount model to its line of high-performance washers. With the addition of the 80-pound capacity machine, the line touts 20- to 90-pound capacity models – all with highly programmable controls, superior efficiency, up to 400 G-force extract speeds, and unrivaled productivity.
Engineered to boost athletic laundry production and cut natural gas, water and electricity usage, Sports Laundry Systems combine high-performance washers with disinfecting ozone injection and energy-efficient dryers.
All Sports Laundry Systems soft-mount washers feature the highly flexible Inteli Control, offering 20 pre-programmed cycles and up to 79 individually modifiable cycles. As a result, athletic laundry facilities can clean a variety of items, including loops, towels, uniforms, warm ups, helmets and pads. Every variable of the wash process is programmable, including water temperature by degree, wash rotation speed and duration, water levels, bath cool-down by degree and up to six extract speeds. Additionally, the SmartLoad system automatically tells users when the washer is loaded to 25, 50 or 100 percent capacity. Operators just enter a program number and press start.
Unlike hard-mount washers, Sports Laundry Systems soft-mount machines slide easily into place without the need for reinforced concrete foundations, grout and bolt down – allowing for future relocation and lower installation costs. Additionally, they produce up to 400 G-force extract speeds for more moisture removal. This cuts resulting dry time up to 50 percent – allowing athletic laundries to complete significantly more laundry in less time.
Designed for green efficiency, they feature a sump-less design to save up to 3 gallons of water per fill. AquaFall and AquaMixer systems further curb water usage. AquaFall releases water into the load via holes in the drum lifters. As the drum turns, lifters release water from above to better penetrate fabric. Laundry is saturated from above and below, which reduces water usage and rinse cycle times, while improving wash quality. AquaMixer further improves efficiency by mixing hot and cold water before entering the drum. This achieves very precise water temperatures – offering greater control over hot water consumption.
