Penn State University York will play 15 games at the home stadium of the York Revolution this season, which begins March 22.

The agreement will allow the Nittany Lions to continuing playing there through 2026. The Nittany Lions made the agreement official Tuesday afternoon in a ceremony at the stadium — a 7,500-seat professional stadium built to Triple-A standards in 2007.

The York County Community Foundation’s Bob Hoffman Sports and Fitness Fund is providing $45,000 in grant money to make the deal possible, the York Dispatch reported.

Penn State officials worked with York Revolution president Eric Menzer to establish the three-year partnership.

PSY’s first home game at WellSpan Park will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 22, as part of a doubleheader against Penn State Scranton that will be free and open to the public. The team’s regular-season finale is slated for April 23, two days before the Revolution’s season opener.

The Nittany Lions previously played their home games at an old community ballpark: Shryock Field, which is about a 10-minute drive from campus. The team will still practice at Shryock and York City Park. But game days will now be at a 7,500-seat professional stadium built to Triple-A standards in 2007.
