Purdue Tops $1M in Ross-Ade Stadium Alcohol Sales

Buoyed by three night games within a seven-game home football schedule, Purdue University saw alcohol sales at Ross-Ade Stadium exceed $1 million in 2018 — nearly doubling the total from 2017, when alcohol sales were expanded from premium club seats and suites to the stadium concourse.

Gross sales jumped from $567,778 to $1,063,632, according to figures obtained by the Lafayette Journal & Courier, with concourse sales accounting for 73 percent of the gross revenue from both seasons. On six home dates last season, alcohol sales exceeded $100,000. That happened only twice in 2017.

Of the 10 Big Ten Conference schools who sell alcohol at football games, Purdue is one of only four that sells alcohol stadium-wide. Maryland, Minnesota and Ohio State are the others.
