The University of Tennessee announced this week that its athletic department has notched over $202 million in a year, surpassing its five-year financial goal in just the 2022-23 fiscal year alone.

According to The Athletic, this lands Tennessee among the top grossing schools in college athletics, alongside Ohio State, Texas, Alabama, Michigan, and Georgia.

Athletic director Danny White attributed the Vols' financial success to a passionate fanbase and strategic planning.

“The numbers are insane,” White told The Athletic.

The program has also seen tremendous growth in its donor program, with a record number of donors and significant fundraising totals.
