The Northern Michigan University volleyball team is selling pieces of the old volleyball game floor to raise money for the program.
With the renovations to NMU's Vandament Arena in Marquette well underway, the volleyball team wants fans to own a piece of Wildcats history, WLUC-TV reported Tuesday.
Fans can purchase a 6-inch by 6-inch square of the volleyball court for $75.
Each piece was cut, sanded, and glued by the NMU Volleyball players with the help of the NMU Construction Club.
They are 1.5-inches thick, and have felt covering the back to prevent scratching of surfaces it may be set on. There is also a sticker on each piece memorializing the time Vandament Arena served as a stand alone volleyball facility.
All money raised will go directly to the volleyball program, NMU said.
