Texas Tech Athletics announced Thursday that alumnus Patrick Mahomes II has provided the final gift of the historic Campaign for Fearless Champions as he and his wife Brittany have dedicated $5 million toward the $242 million South End Zone and Dustin R. Womble Football Center project. In recognition of the gift, Texas Tech will name its soon-to-be-completed walkthrough area in the Womble Football Center after the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and three-time Super Bowl champion. Mahomes will also be recognized by being the namesake for Texas Tech's quarterback meeting room and the offensive coordinator's office in the new South End Zone Building addition to Jones AT&T Stadium.

The Penn State University athletic department has announced a second Founders Gift for the Beaver Stadium revitalization project. As reported Thursday by the Altoona Mirror, the $10 million gift is from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous. It comes on the heels of a $25 million commitment from the Misitano family and PAM Health that was announced last week. The Beaver Stadium Founders are donors making gifts of eight figures or more. The gifts will be recognized in a plaza outside Beaver Stadium when renovations are complete.

Kalamazoo (Mich.) College Athletics announced Wednesday that it has received a $100,000 gift from Gene and Joann Bissell to support the relaunching of men’s and women’s track and field at the school. The couple are making the gift in memory of Joann Bissell’s father, George Stewart, an avid cross country and track and field fan. Gene Bissell was a Kalamazoo political science major who went on to earn his MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He retired as president and CEO of AmeriGas Propane Inc.

Total amount of these gifts:

$15,100,000
