Days after Angelo State University's announcement of its "Leading the Charge" centennial capital campaign, the school received a $2 million gift from a local family toward one of the campaign's top priorities, the establishment of the Angelo State Athletics Endowment. The gift from the Stephens family — Steve and Pollyanna Stephens, Randy and Susan Brooks, and Devin and Liz Bates — ASU is now about halfway toward reaching its $5 million athletics endowment goal, according to sanangelolive.com. The Angelo State Athletics Endowment will provide annual distributions to support a bonus structure for high-achieving ASU head and assistant coaches, with the goal of recruiting and retaining the best coaching staff for student-athlete development and success, as well as providing support for the general needs of ASU athletics.

Murray State University athletics has received a generous investment of $100,000 from Scotty and Debi Crump, the school announced this week. announcement. The gift will help the department continue its mission to invest in capital campaign initiatives to enhance the athletics footprint, furthering the Racers' commitment to the student-athlete experience.

The University of Hawai'i athletics department, in partnership with the University of Hawai'i Foundation, has announced a new collaboration with American Savings Bank to support UH women athletes. As part of this sponsorship, ASB has pledged to donate up to $50,000 and will establish an endowment fund to provide scholarships to deserving Rainbow Wahine student-athletes each year.

Jo Anne Carrick, the former campus director at Penn State Shenango, and her husband John have pledged a $50,000 gift to the campus, establishing the Carrick Family Endowment for Penn State Shenango Athletics. According to an announcement at psu.edu, available funds from the Carrick Family Endowment for Penn State Shenango Athletics will be used to purchase equipment and supplies for the various sports that Shenango offers, as well as team travel expenses, pay for staff support, and help to fund future facility enhancements.

TV personality Pat McAfee, a punter for West Virginia University from 2005 to 2008 before being drafted by the Indianapolis Colts, surprised his alma mater during a show broadcast from Morgantown on Aug. 30 by donating $1 million to the Mountaineers' NIL collective. As reported by The U.S. Sun, McAfee said the donation "will not be from my name. It’ll be for the entire team that I played alongside."
