A $3.5 million grant has been awarded to build a field house for the Washington (Iowa) Community School District. As reported by local radio station KCII, the grant was the largest given May 21, at the Washington County Riverboat Foundation Spring grant awards, and combined with an anonymous donor's $4 million gift earlier this year and other donations, the project’s fundraising total has reached nearly $7.65 million.Total price of the project is estimated between $9 million and $10 million. The field house is expected to include a 60-yard indoor turf football field, eight 45-meter sprinting lanes, a 3,200-square-foot weight room and a golf simulator room, among other amenities. Construction could begin in spring of 2027, if the funds are secured.

Wake Forest University announced May 30 that Truist Financial Corporation, a presenting partner of Wake Forest women's athletics, had made a total contribution of $30,000 in support of the Her Victory campaign. Last fall, Truist launched Her Victory, a platform designed to amplify the success across all Wake Forest women's sports programs during the 2024-25 regular season. Since its launch in February 2024, Demon Deacon donors including Truist have contributed over $37 million in support of Wake Forest female student-athletes.
Seward County Community College in Liberal, Kan., announced a $30,000 donation from the Saints Booster Club to the college’s Champions Fund, which provides scholarship support for student-athletes. As reported by the Leader & Times, the Saints Booster Club has raised funds through a variety of community-based efforts, including annual golf tournaments, memberships, raffles, and reserved parking sales. The Champions Fund plays a crucial role in helping SCCC recruit and retain talented athletes by reducing the financial barriers to higher education.
