Welcome to Fundraising Friday, AB Today's weekly digest of recent developments in development.

A $3.5 million grant has been awarded to build a field house for the Washington (Iowa) Community School District. As reported by local radio station KCII, the grant was the largest given May 21, at the Washington County Riverboat Foundation Spring grant awards, and combined with an anonymous donor's $4 million gift earlier this year and other donations, the project’s fundraising total has reached nearly $7.65 million.Total price of the project is estimated between $9 million and $10 million. The field house is expected to include a 60-yard indoor turf football field, eight 45-meter sprinting lanes, a 3,200-square-foot weight room and a golf simulator room, among other amenities. Construction could begin in spring of 2027, if the funds are secured.
