The University of Pittsburgh athletics department and the Panther Club announced Wednesday an anonymous $3 million philanthropic gift to Pitt wrestling — the largest donation in program history. The contribution will provide essential financial support for the program, helping cover operational expenses, increased investment in the holistic student-athlete experience and additional athletic scholarships.

Georgia Tech athletics has received a historic matching commitment to provide up to $5 million in additional scholarship support for Tech’s back-to-back Atlantic Coast Conference champion baseball program. According to the athletic department's Tuesday announcement, an anonymous donor has pledged to match up to $2.5 million in multiyear donations for Georgia Tech baseball scholarships, for a total of $5 million in additional scholarship support over the next several years.

Former University of Manitoba men's basketball player and Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame member John Loewen has given a $1 million gift — the largest in Bison Sports history — to support the men’s basketball program. A dedicated fund will impact facilities, programs and resources in the interest of the student-athlete experience over the next decade, the school announced Monday.
