The NFL has fined Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper $300,000 after video emerged of him throwing a drink on a fan during the team's 26-0 loss at Jacksonville on Dec. 31.
In the video, Tepper can be seen throwing the contents of glass into the stands from his open-air club suite after rookie quarterback Bryce Young threw an interception with less than three minutes to play.
“The National Football League today fined Carolina Panthers’ chairman David Tepper $300,000 for his unacceptable conduct in Jacksonville during Sunday’s game," read a statement from the league reported on X by Mike Kaye of the Charolette Observer. "All NFL personnel are expected to conduct themselves at all times in ways that respect our fans and favorably reflect on their team and the NFL."

Tepper has owned the franchise since 2018, when he purchased the Panthers for a reported $2.3 billion. The Panthers are now at. league worst record of 2-14.
Tepper released his own statement in response to the incident.
“I am deeply passionate about this team and regret my behavior on Sunday," Tepper wrote. "I should have let NFL stadium security handle any issues that arose. I respect the NFL’s code of conduct and accept the League’s discipline for my behavior.”
