Officials at Carterville (Ill.) High School this week announced the district is investigating allegations of inappropriate conduct by a high school coach, as well as an athletic trainer contracted by the school.
Carterville assistant superintendent Jeff Hartford told KFVS that the coach work with the baseball team, and the athletic trainer is contracted through Southern Illinois Healthcare.
Hartford said that both situations are being investigated, and school leaders will take any necessary action.
No other details are being released at this time, but Hartford said the safety and security of Carterville students is the foremost priority of the district.
