The high-scoring football game Saturday between LSU and Texas A&M, which entailed seven overtimes, ended in a fight on the sidelines after a coach from LSU was punched by someone in apparent possession of an A&M bench credential.
According to Yahoo Sports, a spokesman for LSU said Tigers offensive coordinator Steve Kragthorpe was punched in the chest shortly after Texas A&M beat LSU 74-72. Kragthorpe, who has Parkinson’s and a pacemaker, is expected to be okay.

Former NFL running back and LSU director of player personnel Kevin Faulk immediately went after the man who punched Kragthorpe. Little information was available on what started the brawl.
The Baton Rouge Advocate reported that Dameyune Craig was at the middle of the incident. Craig, who used to be the receivers coach for LSU, is now the receivers coach for Texas A&M. Craig allegedly began yelling obsenities at midfield after the game and then threw his headset at LSU staffers.

Kragthope told USA Today that he was caught off guard by the punch. “Out of nowhere, I got nailed,” Kragthorpe said. “I didn’t go down, but I clutched over. I was like, ‘Damn, he got me right in my pacemaker.’ Then it started fluttering like he jostled it.”
The man who punched Kragthorpe was captured in a photo but has yet to be identified. LSU and Texas A&M officials said they are still looking into the incident.
