SEC Commissioner Sankey Talks Betting, Mental Health

Southeastern Conference commissioner Greg Sankey raised concerns at media days this week about the possible adverse effects that legalized gambling might have on athlete mental health.

Sankey said that going forward, he’d like to see “uniform practices” on college sports gambling in every state, as well as language that eliminates the possibility of in-game wagers or proposition betting.
