A Little League baseball coach in Texas has been arrested Friday and accused of molesting several young children.
A parent told Fox 26 that at least a dozen victims have come forward with allegations against Adam Isaacks, 38, of Jasper County, Texas.
Isaacks was the president of Evadale Little League in Silsbee, Texas, but he was removed from that position last week.
A parent of one of the victims told Fox that Isaacks used baseball for access to the children, but that the abuse went beyond the field.
"It wasnāt just a baseball thing," said the parent.Ā "Itās not associated with just baseball.Ā It just happened to [allow] easy access for him.Ā This was not a random person. This person was almost a brother to some of them."
The boys on the team would travel across Texas and to other states with Isaacks for tournaments.Ā
"For all intents and purposes, we thought we knew him," said one parent.Ā "He would explain it [as to] having 2 different personalities.Ā Thereās coach Adam, and thereās Adam.Ā Fun Adam.Ā There were rules to when [the boys] went with him.Ā [He told them] donāt be shy and what happens at the camp, stays at the camp."
A group of parents are now seeking justice for their kids. They expect additional charges to be announced this week.
"This is a lifelong pain," said the parent.Ā "This is a lifelong pain for all of these boys.Ā He will be doing this to them for the rest of their lives, because they have to relive it and remember it."
