Amy Crosbie, executive associate athletics director for internal affairs and senior woman administrator, joins the growing list of Utah State University personnel who have been terminated in recent days.
The announcement of Crosbie’s termination comes at the heels of USU head football coach Blake Anderson’s removal, as well as Jerry Bovee, associate vice president and deputy athletic director of external affairs, and Austin Albrecht, director of player development and community.

Though USU has declined to comment on Crosbie’s termination, she did manage Title IX oversight, which is cited as the main cause of her co-workers terminations. She worked to promote women’s representation in college sports and leadership positions. She previously held a similar role at Weber State University from 2010 to 2019.
Crosbie’s termination was referenced by fellow outcast on X, as Bovee posted, “Just learned that one of the best people I’ve ever worked with was dismissed late today from her role as SWA with Utah State Athletics. The student-athlete experience for just over 400 young people just slipped a notch backward. Amy Crosbie will be missed!”
As reported earlier this week, USU faced a federal investigation by the Department of Justice just a few years ago for the mishandling of sexual assault cases on campus. The recent incident involving a football student-athlete and a woman in April 2023 never saw charges filed, but appears to be the inciting incident for the recent terminations.
Crosbie’s work at USU allowed her to supervise the gymnastics team, women’s soccer team, men’s and women’s track and field and the volleyball team.
One local radio show, Full Court Press on 106.9 FM The Fan in Logan, commented on the departures, saying, “It takes two to tango a lot of the times, and so I think especially for a coaching staff where they are working so close together constantly to build a team, then it usually is going to take more than one member of the team for something to go wrong.”
There has been no further announcement’s from Bovee’s legal team or comment from the university on the recent terminations.
