A former New Jersey high school physical education teacher and head softball coach was arrested and charged with theft in connection with twice depositing a school district check into her personal account.
According to MyCentralNewJersey.com, Michelle L. Huff of Green Brook was charged with theft by unlawful taking involving a Metuchen Board of Education check for $2,683.50, a third-degree crime, according to court documents.

After receiving subpoena information from PNC Bank, probable cause was found to charge Huff with theft, court documents state.
Huff's salary is listed as $72,924, according to state records. During the 2023-24 school year, Huff served as advisor to the high school's peer leadership club, according to the district website.
