Facility Friday: Washington State Baseball, Texas A&M Swim and Dive, and More

Washington State University will break ground this weekend on its new baseball facility. The $10 million project will feature state-of-the-art amenities such as a 1,300-square-foot locker room, a 1,500-square-foot weight and cardio training area, an academic space, team meeting rooms, coaches offices, athletic training space and equipment storage. Oklahoma State University announced that its O’Brate Baseball Stadium will open March 20, 2020, for the Cowboy’s conference opener. The first 14 games of the team’s season will be played at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium, which was feted throughout the 2018 season. The new O’Brate Stadium features 3,500 permanent seats, 11 suites and 400 premium seats, and the stadium complex features an indoor facility, a 7,400-square-foot locker room and players lounge, and an operations center complete with a sports medicine area and equipment storage. — OKState.com 

Indiana State University announced plans for a new sports district as part of its Athletics Master Plan. Renderings by architecture firm HKS show new and upgraded baseball and softball facilities, a renovated football and soccer stadium and a new basketball practice facility. Texas A&M University announced that it would renovate its swimming and diving facilities. The upgraded space will provide new locker rooms, coaches offices, an athletic training room, dryland training space and a fueling station, as well as an exterior lobby that will provide a designated entrance for the program’s student-athletes, coaches and fans. — 12thman.com

Montana State University announced that it has raised $18 million for its new athletic complex. Plans call for a 40,000-square-foot, two-story facility that will provide the football team with amenities such as locker rooms, a training facility, meeting rooms and more. Construction is expected to begin after this football season and be complete before the 2021 season. — MSUBobcats.com
