Louisiana Tech University is putting the finishing touches on new baseball and softball facilities after an April 2019 tornado destroyed older facilities. Construction on both projects began in March of 2020, and both fields are expected to be completed in time for the teams to make their home openers. The baseball team will make its debut on Feb. 26, while the softball program will play its first game at its new field on March 5. Both teams have already held practices in their new homes, which feature FieldTurf playing surfaces and other amenities. — LaTechSports.com
