The J. Leonard Levy Family Wellness Center boasts a warm-water therapy and exercise pool; private changing rooms with showers; physical, speech and occupational rehabilitation therapy areas; a fitness center with programs and equipment specially designed and calibrated for seniors; a bistro with a coffee and juice bar; a salon; and community gathering and socialization spaces. The main entrance connects to the garden park and is fully ADA-compliant, providing users of all ranges of mobility direct access to the beautiful outdoor surroundings.

Cool purple and blue tones are accented by warm beige and white tones, visually separating the wellness center from the adjoining nursing home and creating a warm and inviting environment in which guests are encouraged to gather, converse, eat and relax. The interior design also features extra-wide corridors and extensive use of grab bars and railings.

Materials for the pool decks (exposed aggregate concrete and ceramic tile) and pool floor (Diamond Brite insoluble quartz aggregate and ceramic tile) were selected to be non-slip but also gentle on delicate feet and skin. Generous window openings provide ample daylighting, illuminating the main facility and pool area while reducing energy consumption and the need for artificial lighting. A series of windows at the west end of the aquatic center showcases majestic mountain views, enhancing the facility’s calming qualities.
