Upgrades to the Quechee clubhouse consisted of the design and replacement of outdoor and indoor pools along with a 1,500-square-foot fitness center and concessions booth.

The new pool complex needed to develop and enhance the sense of community, preserve the natural beauty of the site, and provide diverse programming for all ages. The indoor pool is 75 feet long with four lanes, a zero-depth-entry ramp and a small alcove parallel to the lanes. It is a major component of the new addition, which was repositioned to maximize the vistas of the golf course and enhance natural light.

Materials utilized in the design reflect regional aesthetics. Exposed natural timber is used for framing, and large tile evokes a natural slate floor. Red fiber cement siding, woodwork details and windows maintain the vocabulary of existing buildings.

The outdoor pool is 75 feet long with six lanes and a larger, zero-depth entry area, separated by a peninsula that creates a transition from the family-friendly area to the competition pool. The integration of the two pools allows for the economical use of a single filtration system.
