This multigenerational community recreation center was brought to life with a grassroots effort by community members who rallied support for necessary ballot measures to create an independent parks and recreation district.

After a successful vote, the new district proceeded with a facility designed to be the new home for community recreation in the Eaton area with activity for every age. The facility sits on a 32-acre site planned for baseball/softball diamonds, a multi-use field, open space and access to regional trails. The center is designed to create versatile space and be flexible to support all types of community programming. It features a large gymnasium with spectator seating; a leisure pool with play features, a waterslide and a lazy river; a walking track; fitness space; a group fitness area; a dividable multi-use community room; a catering kitchen; and a classroom.

To future-proof the facility for the needs of a growing community, the project is also designed for a future expansion to include an additional gymnasium, a team locker room and a competition lap pool with spectator seating.

The new community center creates a place for current Eaton-area residents to come together and makes the city a more desirable destination for future residents.
