The Lithia Motors Pavilion and Student Recreation Center provides a home court for the Raiders basketball, volleyball and wrestling teams, as well as a 42,000-square-foot student recreation center for SOU’s 6,139 undergraduate and graduate students.

Functionally, the programs can operate independently inside the three-story building. The Raiders can host a basketball game while the rec center remains fully operational for students. The Pavilion’s competition gym seats 1,400 for games and allows practice sessions on two cross courts. Also included in the facility are a dedicated wrestling room, an athletic training and sports medicine room, locker rooms for each sport, a ticket office, concessions and restrooms. Athletics staff offices are located adjacent to the front entry doors, looking out over Webster Street, the main campus pedestrian pathway.

The facility features multiple lounge spaces, a two-court recreation gym with elevated running track, cardio and weight training space, a multipurpose meeting room, two group exercise rooms, locker rooms and recreation staff offices, as well as an outdoor sand volleyball court. The building also houses SOU’s Outdoor Adventure Program, providing a 44-foot-tall climbing wall designed and built by an SOU alum, check-in desk and office space, a bicycle workshop, trip planning meeting space, equipment storage and a laundry.
