Surrounded by awe-inspiring views of majestic mountains and one of the largest lakes in the region, the Clyde Recreation Center features the programming lineup of an efficient and prudent public recreation center.

The primary elements of the facility are encapsulated in the aquatic portion of the building, including a 25-yard-by-25-meter competition pool with spectator seating, an indoor kiddie pool and a separate recreation pool that accommodates two slide flumes and an elevated spa. There is also an outdoor recreation pool that opens from the indoor spaces by means of multiple bi-parting partitions, allowing the aquatic area to double in size when the weather is temperate. In addition to the traditional men’s and women’s locker rooms, the facility boasts six family change rooms combined with a central family locker lounge.

The dry side of the facility showcases an elevated walking/jogging track, generous circuit and cardio space, a spin studio, a general-use fitness studio, a dedicated CrossFit workout area and a double-wide gymnasium. The track wraps around a radial glass wall of the spin studio, looks down into the pool areas, circulates around the gymnasium space and connects with the other workout zones.

Perhaps the most notable feature of the facility is the large handblown glass curtain wall above the main entry that features an abstract image of a butterfly swimmer. This beautiful piece creates a sparkle for the venue that reinforces Springville City’s reputation of being the “Art City.”
