Home to the Central Hockey League?s Rocky Mountain Rage and the NBA Development League?s Colorado 14ers, the Broomfield Event Center hosts more than 130 events each year, including concerts, trade shows, rodeos, amateur youth sports events, and family-oriented entertainment and community events.
The 160,000-square-foot venue boasts several state-of-the-art amenities uncommon to comparable minor league arenas. A restaurant and adjacent balconies offer patrons views of the distant Rocky Mountains. Other features include two bar/lounges with flatscreen televisions, a luxury suiteholder lounge, a private fitness facility and a basketball practice court.
Traditional materials such as brick and limestone-colored masonry and architectural features such as punched windows and balconies help the north and west sides of the building relate to the scale of an adjacent New Urbanist community currently under development. Sited in the midst of this development ? which, when completed, will include condominiums and retail and office space ? the arena offers patrons opportunities for pre- and post-event socializing in the surrounding pedestrian plazas.
