Racine Unified School District Aquatic Center

Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin
Construction Cost: $22.4 million
Area / Square Feet: 51,538
Occupancy Date: December 2021

The RUSD Aquatics Center is a state-of-the-art facility bringing in swimmers from the local community, the local USA Swimming team and the entire state of Wisconsin. From the beginning, the goal for a centralized district-wide facility envisioned the inclusion of the greater community, which needed a facility for education, training, aerobics therapy, open swimming and recreational aquatics programming.

The new 51,538-square-foot natatorium includes a 10-lane competition pool with a bulkhead, a dive well, public/student locker rooms, team locker rooms, concessions/hospitality facilities, a family changing room and two-level spectator seating. The additional training pool, locker rooms, party room and large seating capacity provide residents other opportunities for recreation and advancement to more specialized areas of aquatics education. The facility also allows the school district to host regional and state competitions yearly.
