Opened in June 2023, the Romeoville Aquatic Center provides the community with more than 11,000 square feet of year-round indoor aquatic programming. As a first-of-its-kind facility within the village, the center offers multigenerational programming, including learn-to-swim, lap swimming, aquatic exercise, therapy and more.
Aquatic amenities include a three-lane, 20-yard lap pool, a current channel and a vortex pool for both leisure and exercise, an activity pool with basketball hoops and volleyball nets, a children’s play structure with zero-depth-entry access, and a translucent, internally illuminated body slide. It has an immersive underwater-themed environment with color-changing LED lighting, a themed ambient sound system and complementing accents.
Outdoors, the 2,600-square-foot splash pad encompasses more than 50 water play features varying in size and engagement to excite and challenge users of all ages and abilities.
