The Huntsville Aquatics Center opened in July 2017. The stunning facility features three large pools, new restrooms, conference and hospitality space, offices and concessions, and a new terrace overlooking the Brahan Spring Park lagoon. This incredible facility enables the city to serve more people than ever, with the addition of swim meets, classes, senior therapy sessions and swim lessons.

With the 56,400-square-foot addition to the Brahan Natatorium, the facility includes a new 50-meter competition pool and a separate new pool for therapy and swim instruction. The city now has two Olympic-size pools for competition use and the largest spectator seating capacity in the state

at 1,500 patrons. The aquatics center has hosted numerous meets since the competition pool’s opening in 2017, including the City Swim Meet, Groundhog Meet and Southeastern Long Course.

The Huntsville Aquatics Center is home to the Huntsville Swim Association, group classes, swim lessons, lap swim and more. The facility has allowed local teams and individual swimmers to have more time and space for their respective workouts.
