The City of Upper Arlington proudly opened the Bob Crane Community Center in 2025 β a transformative, five-story, 165,000-square-foot destination designed to unite the community. The $85 million project was funded through municipal bonds and over $8 million in private donations via the Upper Arlington Community Foundation, reflecting a shared commitment to multigenerational wellness and civic life. At the heart of the center is a year-round aquatics facility. The 4,479-square-foot leisure pool features four lap lanes, a zero-depth-entry play area, open water for recreation and fitness, plus engaging amenities such as a basketball hoop and a waterslide β all within a single, flexible body of water. Beyond recreation, the center also integrates wellness partnerships. The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center leases space for physical therapy, integrative health and its Exercise is Medicine program β bridging clinical care with community health. Sustainable design elements, including rooftop solar panels, reinforce the centerβs future-focused mission. The Bob Crane Community Center stands as a vibrant symbol of Upper Arlingtonβs investment in connection, inclusion and lifelong enrichment.
