At an elevation of 7,000 feet, the new home of Northern Arizona University’s swimming, diving and tennis programs is also one of the highest-elevation pools in North America, drawing competitive swimmers from around the globe to train.

In addition to the 50-meter pool and 10-meter dive tank, the facility also includes an adjoining tennis center with six indoor and six outdoor tennis courts. Positioned at the north entrance to campus and mirroring the campus recreation center across the street, the two buildings form a unique, recreation-oriented gateway to north campus.

The natatorium features traditional masonry-and-steel construction, while the connected tennis pavilion is a pre-engineered metal building. By unifying the skin materials and developing consistency in masonry and glass forms, the two buildings present a unified whole.
