A number of new renovation projects within the Cintas Center on the campus of Xavier University took place over the course of three years, including various interior renovations and additions to the existing facility for the benefit and support of both student-athletes and event spectators. The projects included a new strength and conditioning space addition, renovated training room space, and a new student-athlete lounge, as well as renovation to the existing Joseph Club, a new Courtside Club space, and a state-of-the-art Tech Deck.

While the Joseph Club and training room renovations improved existing programmed space within the facility, the student-athlete lounge, Courtside Club and Tech Deck all took advantage of underutilized space within the arena by reprogramming it to the benefit of the end user.

These renovation projects took a critical look at how to maximize the building’s programmable potential and equity without the necessity of additional square footage. Designers also took advantage of the opportunity to create a new, consistent and comprehensive branding approach throughout the facility.
