TowneBank Tower is the newest renovation of East Carolina University’s Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium and features four levels of premium seating, a new press box, ticketing booths and concessions.

New premium seating brings to the facility 22 loge boxes, 19 standard suites, five founders’ suites, 550 Trade Club level seats and a new press box with over 100 seats for media professionals, with a total of 1,000 premium seats throughout the facility. The Trade Club suites can also transform into a banquet hall and event space and provide a pre-game buffet and full-service bar. On the ground level, the Tower added new ticketing and concessions. The facility is nine stories tall and is part of ECU’s commitment to investing and improving their athletics programs. It replaces the original ECU press box structure, which was more than 40 years old.

Project scope also included 22,000 square feet of renovations in the Wards Sports Medicine Building and an addition of a football team lounge to the original structure. Renovations in this area included the football locker room, team meeting areas, athletic training headquarters, the sports therapy room and the existing equipment room. These upgrades have transformed the original building into a top-of-the-line facility for Pirate Football staff and athletes. The third and final portion of project scope was the construction of the new Walter and Marie Williams Hitting Facility adjacent to the Clark-Leclair Stadium, ECU’s baseball stadium.
