Salina Fieldhouse provides much-needed space for community recreation, youth and adult sports tournaments, and special events.

Flexibility, playability, sustainability and affordability were key considerations in the facility design. The layout features three hardwood and three synthetic basketball courts, which convert into eight volleyball courts. This space can also transform into a 20,000-square-foot turf area to create a regulation indoor soccer or flag football field. Drop-down batting cages and pitching tunnels also are featured. Basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, futsal, golf, cheer, dance, kickball, wrestling and dodgeball are among the many activities the Fieldhouse can accommodate.

In addition to being a destination for community recreation, the Fieldhouse is

also projected to play a key role in the revitalization of the community’s downtown district. The facility is part of a broader redevelopment effort and was planned to maximize connections with other downtown venues. Since its opening last summer, the Fieldhouse has played host to basketball tournaments, sports clinics and a variety of private team practices, in addition to daily programming activities such as open gyms, rec league practices and games, and birthday parties.
