The UNLV Rebels have earned a football training facility that embodies the grit, sweat, and teamwork they put into their organization. The facility is part of an effort to usher in a new era of athletic success for the team and revitalize the football program, based on the philosophy that successful training incorporates team relationship development, academic achievement and nutrition, as well as physical conditioning. The facility is situated on the north end of the Rebels’ current practice area inside Rebel Park and is a home where Rebels will train, study, eat, learn and grow as people.

The building itself is designed around the existing practice fields, and interior spaces are oriented to ensure this nexus of performance is always at the forefront. Every important space has soaring views of the field to celebrate why this building exists: to provide support to a team who lays it all out on that field every day. The weight room serves as the heart of the building and is centered directly on the practice fields, reinforcing that connection. The weight room is open to the internal building circulation, with an open nutrition bar and glass fronted trainer offices. Team lounge, locker room, sports medicine, hydrotherapy and equipment rooms are all adjacent to this hub.

The complex celebrates teamwork, focusing on the total wellness of student-athletes with a state-of-the-art headquarters designed to prepare for success on the field, in the classroom and in life. Features include an academic center, a team dining hall with full kitchen, a nutrition bar, an academic tutoring room, a sports medicine center, a state-of-the-art hydrotherapy space, a team auditorium, position meeting rooms, a team lounge and a barber shop, in addition to the 9,000-square-foot weight-lifting area, modern locker room and coaches offices with balconies overlooking the practice field.
