The recently completed Guardians Administration Building marks the first step in a larger renovation effort that reimagines every corner of Progressive Field, home of the Cleveland Guardians. Construction began before the end of the 2023 season and was carefully phased to minimize gameday disruption, even accommodating the Guardians’ 2024 postseason run.
Outdated and undersized, the original 1994 administration building lacked the collaborative spaces commonly found in today’s baseball organizations and workplaces—places to meet, plan, grab a coffee, or simply connect. To support the team’s growth, a new floor was added along with a comprehensive interior renovation. The updated interior now features open work and café areas, brought to life with bold graphics that celebrate the organization’s heritage, community outreach, and pride in Cleveland.

Office and meeting rooms are equipped with modern technology to support virtual collaboration across the Guardians’ various locations and with scouts on the road. A highlight of the renovation is a dedicated, tech-forward draft room designed to host the team’s selection process. Glass partitions throughout the building bring natural daylight into office and collaboration areas, creating a brighter, more open environment.
Beyond the administration building, renovations across Progressive Field focus on elevating the fan experience through a variety of new social spaces. These range from casual concourse hangouts to all-inclusive seating, allowing fans to tailor their gameday to their needs.

The new Terrace Hub experience in left field introduces a range of reimagined social spaces. Once enclosed, North Coast Social now features open-air, all-inclusive premium seating. Terrace Hall includes an interior beer hall with adjacent outdoor standing areas, while Terrace Garden offers an open party deck with upgraded food and beverage options and panoramic views of downtown Cleveland. On the opposite side of the ballpark, the renovated upper deck in right field has been transformed into a flexible space for large groups, supported by a new kitchen and commissary that enhance service throughout the stadium.
In April 2025, Carnegie Club opened to fans, offering an elevated ballpark experience with private lounges, made-to-order menu items, and exclusive seating behind home plate. Just beyond the club, both home and visitor clubhouses were renovated and expanded to provide the best clubhouses in all of Major League Baseball.
Moody Nolan acknowledges the successes in reimaging Progressive Field are due to the highly collaborative team comprised of MANICA (design architect), DVA Architecture (interior design), numerous consultants, the construction management team (Mortenson, Independence Construction, AKA Team), and the Cleveland Guardians who are dedicated to providing the best player and fan experience ‘For the Land.’
